The Territory Network

The Territory Network was an alliance of Community Radio Stations in The Northern Territory of Australia sometime around 1995, the main aim of which appeared to be to provide 'Capital City' programming to remote communities.

The stations involved (IIRC) were:

  • 8TOP Territory FM Darwin 1)
  • 8EAR Gove FM Nhulunbuy 2)
  • Batchelor FM 3)
  • 8KTR (Katherine FM)
  • 8CCC Alice Springs and Tennant Creek. (8CCC Community Radio Alice Springs)

From what I remember, these stations Handled their programming for part of the day and took Territory Network programming at other times.

1) Now Darwin » 104.1 MHz » 8TFM [Territory FM]
2) This station which appears to have closed down recently
3) I cannot find any information on this station. There is a community station called “Radio Rum Jungle” on 95.3 MHz in Batchelor, but I don't know if this is the same station
